The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 氛围挺好，背景太虚无了，估计是成本问题吧，然后故事就跟着有些虚无了，最后的大部队都像草台班子似的。雪地里逆光的场景蛮好。
女主非常漂亮，前面情节可以，后面结局烂尾了，拿到一个手指就能拿到银行的保险柜不合理，女主杀反角也不合理，女主身材颜值值得加两星。

对现今社会的一个寓言：敌人来自四面八方，面目不清；敌人手段狠毒从不留情；敌人会突然出现再悄然消失无法防备，让人疲惫不堪。可是更可怕的却是己方上层，他们不仅要消灭敌人还要把自己的人也一起灭掉，手段残忍毫不留情。
妞真好看，富豪真傻蛋。不要总以为别人在欣赏你的风趣，其实她只是喜欢你的钱袋子。
房东Marlkovici明知风险巨大，还贪十万二十万的便宜; 任何安防系统没有报警键吗？观众都傻子吗？
研发住宅安保系统，却陷于与妻子离婚诉求的富者克里斯，以为自己夜遇斯凯是个偶然，结果是一连串的安排。连撬车敲断克里斯腿也是个设计，这样斯凯可以理所应然的入住山顶豪宅进行照料。同时，斯凯厌烦室友的纠缠，无可利用后，甚至将其割脉而亡。片中第一处智商掉线，是监视山顶的望远镜仍然留在了公寓，房东老头也趁此上山想敲竹杠。第二处智商掉线，是斯凯抢得男主手机的全屋控制权，却没有更改入门密码。后面发展小孩完全可以从砸破的窗户进入，或者身为父亲的男主早为孩子录入了声音人脸等高级权限。而诧异之处，斯凯将枪口对向了教她坑骗伎俩的继父，斯凯意识到自己仍未独立也属心有不忍，但这一幕转变没有设想中的自然。作为爽片还算及格，但逊于“屏住呼吸”的紧张感。对于贫富的描写也触之无力，劫富手段不义，也不是为了实现某种高于个人的理念
不知道片中瑞典是和哪个国家开战？难道是俄罗斯？

无聊的故事+主题，无聊到这么完整、演员演得这么卖力，令观众动容。
剧情老套，但有露点，最后是孩子拯救了全家，其实银行搞个人脸识别就没辙了，啥都拿不走。
演员外形赞的，情节过得去，够疯狂，气场不足
女主漂亮，xx应该是替身，结尾剧情有点牵强，既然都抢到了手机就应该第一时间报警呀，明显和前面一直想报警自相矛盾
