The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? Andrew Garfield的眼神里只有挤不出作品的焦虑和受伤，感受不太到艺术家的疯狂，但Jonathon Larson本人的歌词实在太戳了😭
A musical about making a musical
没有《吉屋出租》乃至百老汇的基础储备，要入戏确实有些障碍，就叙事性来说，根本和《爱乐之城》没法比，确实很难称为电影，又不是音乐剧，某些地方是情景剧的处理手法，总体更接近实景补拍完整的NT live，加菲全程表现高光，感觉比他之前演的电影都要来劲，巨投入，也许这就是舞台艺术的魅力吧。
虽然加菲的哭戏演得很好很好，但是从头哭到尾真的让人不适，其他都挺好
加菲太棒了！Michael、Susan和Karessa的演员也好棒
满怀期望的打开，看着看着目光开始呆滞，甚至想关上播放器去睡会觉。

作为音乐剧爱好者 我可太喜欢这部剧了I am allowing myself to be led by love 那种快乐的忧伤的 可以让人飞起来的感觉 享受和沉浸在所有感官里 这就是音乐剧带来的美妙❤️
看之前没了解片子任何背景，然后边看边一直在感叹好像rent啊，看到最后才发现拍的就是rent的原作者的故事……
思考着后果，思考着退路，思考着回报，选择真的太需要勇气了。但除了未至的朝阳，还有黑夜里细微的星光。
LMM很有导演天赋耶，交叉剪辑玩的也是游刃有余，加菲的少年感活脱将Jonathan的才气演绎出了歌舞青春般的活力气场，宽街魅力与音乐剧生生不息的生命力，也在Jon短暂又热情的一生里被诠释得很具感染力，每个音符都像是他对而立之年的无情挑衅与热忱期待

用处理舞台剧的手法来拍电影，连带着加菲也用夸张式的舞台剧状态来表演，能感受到努力但也觉得有些用力过猛，基本也是全片观感的缩影。剧中剧的模式其实有些节奏上的割裂，尤其在于主线落脚点找不准状况下；稍微了解一下背景能被Jonathan的事迹打动，但片子内呈现的效果就很cliché了。
虽然题材一般感兴趣，三十+没出人头地的困境也毫无共鸣，但加菲猫和lin-manuel诚意可嘉，agent说必须不停write write write扎心了…
但也说了凡事尽力而为
