The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 艰苦卓绝地极地探险，以确保领土不被强占去。联想到最近的美国意图购买格陵兰岛，不得说，格陵兰岛人还是多少有些血性的！就剧情而言，相比于探险，无所事事更艰难！
最后的煽情还算合格，前边人物的描写刻画太简单，导演叙事能力还是有欠缺。
场景展示虽没有更多意外，没想到！一位肩负重任的船长远不如自告奋勇首次来北极的一位机工！也佩服和心痛一路陪伴他们探险的狗狗们～
这美式青春剧多少年了还是没变，只不过时代变迁加入了一些可供调侃的政治正确元素，最后落点还是否了prom queen，专注于个人个性与魅力。
不能因為當下無神論的政治正確歪風猖獗而給此作加分，但憑「glory my Lord」的角度來說這是一部相當優秀的護教作品。而明顯地Mel Gibson借助她人之手維護上帝的榮耀，而她人之手難道又不是上帝的計畫嗎？when you’re suffering,that’s when you’re most real.

船长和男二真的厉害，在北极生活那么久，最后两人都没出事太好了，结局好感人，俩人一辈子好朋友，一开始死的狗狗真可怜。
略显平淡，但不无聊。开头出现的根据事实改编，现实永远比电影能呈现的更加残酷，长达数年的荒无人烟的寂寞和难受，只有经历过的人才能真切体会到，探险家的勇气值得致敬

我跟Father Stu一样，冲着女主来的，那个演玛利亚的也好看，关注了！没想到梅尔吉布森也在里面，他仿佛还是我最爱的那个《致命武器》里的Riggs,在房车里握着酒瓶颓废醒来，突然感觉这片可以做《致命武器5》,Riggs跟老婆生了两个娃，结果夭折一个，另一个也很操蛋。结尾曲蛮好听，有个像《好莱坞往事》桥段一样的彩蛋
