The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 近15年来最具原版精神、最正常、最有意义的一部蜡笔小新剧场版，且没有之一！
第一次看蜡笔小新的剧场版，没想到制作这么精良。故事和元素都很丰富，用屁股思考可还行，简直就是名侦探小新。教育的主题永远不过时，教育阶级化和阶级化教育也是目前的趋势和现状，影片没有给出答案，但是这个议题真的值得思考。虽然是打着幼稚园旗号的成人向动画，身为大叔还是觉得难有共鸣，毕竟青春已经是过去式了。
曾有过，是当下，爱着那些无意义的事，就是青春。
看到了些有友情、亲情、爱情等。

青春啊！马拉松那段真的眼眶湿润，连小时候看的动画都开始赚眼泪了。“嘲笑努力的人会被秃鹰揪光头发”小新看起来不靠谱，但是他的心是精英～
精英计划，ai与传统教育，现实与理想，今年剧场版依然紧跟社会现状，提出了更多具有时效性的问题，再加上近几年融合了许多真人电影元素的梗，特别是这部加入了本格推理，小新摇身一变成为柯南新这个设计还挺有意思
