The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 和去年波兰那部《冠军》比较类似，同样是用类型片的方式去展现集中营残酷记忆，更主流的演员选择和更充裕的制作成本保证了可看性的提高。
立意不错，只要是跟二战有关的题材我都喜欢，黑白镜头很有质感，男主那个脸充满了内疚、惭愧与隐忍。BTW，最后三拍子的片尾曲很是震撼人心，虽然只是钢琴与提琴的对话…
