The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 很童趣温和的一部电影，即使是作为反派出现的那只狗，形象也是可爱类的，是难得的低龄儿童也适合观看的电影。
动作戏勉勉强强，文戏基本上没有故事性，助手和女儿的戏没有起到结构性的作用，就是打打杀杀，还打得莫名其妙。节奏感既无，又无推进故事的线索条理，打戏是演员尽力了，但是也缺乏精细的设计和主轴，烂片无疑。

其实不盲可能更好看，没必要非要个盲人来当卖点，我就说女主像谁，就是小丑女啊
冲着制作团队以及中配版阵容去的。意外地好看，剧情有点点老套，反派有点出乎意料（对动画电影而言，‘病娇’属性的角色这两年才开始变多的吧）。但还好节奏紧凑，故事主线明显。最后，还要为马正阳马老师鼓鼓掌，对声音的控制能力太强了！观影的时候根本没发现是他！也有可能是我对他的声音不够熟悉哈哈哈
第一次知道这部电影是在一个公众号的宣传中，当天心情不好，加上最近迷上了动漫电影，当时看完推荐以后就感觉心里暖暖的，感觉是一部轻松美好带点可爱的电影，就像埋下了就一颗种子，今天终于看完了，说说自己的感受，故事情节非常简单，没有隐喻，内容比较正能量，人物形象也很可爱，通过这部电影可以了解到一些已经灭绝的稀缺物种，一些历史性的代表物，比较适合七八岁的小女孩看，从电影本身来说，我认为音乐，台词，拍摄，画面转场，剪辑等都处于一个中等的水平

我喜欢看，哈哈哈哈哈，就喜欢这种爽的动作片枪战片，杨杏演的疯美人太飒了，好喜欢。。现在的动作片太少了，女性动作片就更少了。其实还挺喜欢他和她老公这两个变态的😂😂祁汉也是挺厉害啊，现在开始演上电影了，大家都在自己喜欢的领域做着自己喜欢的事，慢慢努力着啊。。好喜欢杨杏演的疯美人，一整个爱住了。。
难得演主角都被女反派抢锋芒！鼻子没整好？山根看着好奇怪。。
2颗星给画面效果和配音，剧情太烂了，首先前期对两个主角不合群的背景交代很模糊，以至整个故事一点都不流畅，而后来那只狗突然180度大反转，这种反差感对孩子来说太不友好了，严重怀疑导演或编剧心理扭曲。

带崽看的，崽看的不起劲，我看的倒是还行，做了一些中国化的改动以便迎合市场。汉化对白用了点心思，后面反派登场有点小意外，笑点不多但也有，如果是电视动画绝对可以，但作为动画大电影还是单薄了点。还有吐槽电影院放映机亮度感觉不够，画面不够明亮。

为啥我觉得还不错，虽然有很多穿帮之类的。但作为爽片还是及格。最后有个疑问，就是貌似主角就是不瞎眼，好像故事也都能继续。
